I am so thankful for you, our friends and sponsors. That may sound cliche on Thanksgiving…but I couldn’t mean it more. This year we have been able to do significant things…and share God’s love with some of the most deserving–yet neglected–people on the planet. Without your support, we couldn’t have even begun to do this! Thank you for you love and concern for the world…and for standing with us to make an impact for Jesus! Happy Thanksgiving…

Ok, we’re getting into serious prep mode – I ordered sleeping bags for Isabell and I and should be able to pick them up today (the kids shredded my old one last year).  I’m also starting to think of the list I need to make of what we need to bring and what I need to do before we leave.  I picked out the sermons that might be helpful. I’m trying to remember that we need to start taking our anti-malaria pills on Friday.  We got our passports back with the Ethiopian visas & Dr Ken (who will be overseeing our medical clinic) is going to ride to the airport with us.

I told Isabell yesterday that we’ll be spending the night in Washington, DC. She was elated – “that’s where the president lives!”  She’s so excited to go on this trip!!!  I’m also excited to get to minister w some friends (Louise, Ken, Zach – pick one, Shelley, Whit, Nick, Eimee, Betsy, . . . .).

I have some checks in my heart about things I need to be careful about.  In all of the activity and busy-ness, I don’t want to not listen to the small voice in my heart.
